The Highlands Bluebirds lead four local teams into playoff action Friday night in Kentucky and Ohio.

The undefeated Bluebirds are nationally ranked and seeking to defending their 5A title.  They'll host Pulaski County (10-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.

The winner advances to the state finals.

The Beechwood Tigers left Thanksgiving night for their state semi-final game at Mayfield in western Kentucky.  The winner of that game will play in the state 1A championship.

Winton Woods and Wyoming head to Dayton to play in separate playoff games Friday night.

Winton Woods will play Columbus Marion-Franklin in Centerville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.  The Warriors have never advanced this far in the playoffs.  The winner will move along to the Division II title game.

Undefeated Wyoming meets Columbus St. Francis DeSales at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.  The winner will earn a berth in the Division III championship game.

The only local team in action on Saturday is Elder, who meets Hilliard-Davidson in Division I.
