A local non-profit is running for a good cause Saturday morning, building self-esteem and healthy lifestyles in Preteen girls.
Girls on the Run of Cincinnati will host a 5k Run at Sawyer Point Saturday.
Runners took off at 10:00 a.m.
Registration was $25 and was held prior to the event kick-off.
Among the surprises at this event, includes Olympic Gold Medalist Mary Wineberg. She spoke before the race during a meet and greet opportunity.
The 5k race is the culmination of a 12-week program that involved local girls. Through this program, the girls learned healthy lifestyles and how to develop self-respect.
