An investigation is underway after an accident near the Carroll C. Cropper Bridge in Petersburg, Kentucky injured one person Monday afternoon.
Police say one person suffered a head injury after the accident along westbound I-275 near the Ohio-Indiana border.
A medical helicopter transported the victim to an area hospital. The victim's name has not been released.
Both lanes of the interstate have reopened after police closed them so the helicopter could land.
No other information is available at this time.
