Perseverance pays off for the volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
In August, fire destroyed a Habitat home which was under construction in Latonia Lakes.
It was almost complete; only missing electric wiring and plumbing.
The volunteers didn't give up.
They built new walls at an off-site location, and Saturday they paraded them down Dogwood Drive all the way to the original construction site on Irving.
Despite the major setback organizers say good has come out of the fire.
Charlie Thrasher with Habitat For Humanity says, "It's been really trying for our families. Not only the family we're building the house for, but the families we already have in this neighborhood. But there has been a blessing to it. We've got a lot of people from the community that have come forward, and said they'd like to get involve with Habitat, and get involved with this project."
The Northern Kentucky Habitat for Humanity vows to finish building the home as soon as possible.
