A new business in Loveland is getting ready to serve it up for the public.
The Grand Sands all-seasons beach volleyball complex opens this Saturday.
It’s located in the old 84 Lumber building.
The owners brought in 760 tons of sand for the five indoor and outdoor courts.
The owners say they've seen beach volleyball's popularity grow by leaps and bounds.
"Sand volleyball has really grown in the past couple of years because of the AVP coming to town,” said Debbie Westerkamm. “We used to run another facility for 12 years, and we saw it go from 75 teams to 350."
The grand opening is at 1 p.m. and includes four live bands, a pig roast and open courts all day.
