The UC Bearcats survived against a tenacious UConn Huskies team, winning 47-45.
UC set a school record for total yards with 711 on the back of Zach Collaros who had over 550 total yards and 3 touchdowns.
Mardy Gilyard added 172 receiving yards to help the Bearcats imrpove to a perfect 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the Big East.
UC scored early, but the Huskies wouldn't go away, coming within 2 with just 5 minutes to play. The Bearcats answered back to go up 9 with two minutes left. UConn drove quickly downfield for a score with just :13 seconds to play to pull within two, but UC recovered the onside kick to secure victory.
The Bearcats continue their run at a national championship when they host West Virginia (7-2, 3-1) on Friday, November 13.
