Benefit For Orphaned Infant A Big Success

Last Update: 11/17/2008 7:39 am
A fundraiser for the now 8-month-old girl whose parents were killed in the September windstorm was a huge success.

"Everyone had a great time, and a lot of money was donated to the Abby Fund," said the baby's grandfather Tom Bobinger.

Friends and family came to honor Abigail Bobinger, along with get some closure for the deaths of her parents, Tom and Stephanie Bobinger of Green Township.

"The families of both Tom and Stephanie would like to thank everyone for coming," said Tom Bobinger, "but mostly thank the Fairfield HOG group for putting on this function for Abby."

Abby's other grandfather is Fairfield Fire Chief Don Bennett.

The First Annual Abby Bobinger Benefit Dance on Friday, November 14 at "Receptions" in Fairfield was sold out well before the event.  There were also many donations for a silent auction.

Abby's parents were both killed when they were hit by a tree while riding a motorcycle during the devastating windstorm in the Tri-State in September.
