CINCINNATI -- Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga apologized Monday for his actions that led to his arrest for DUI.
Maualuga said on his Twitter account, "Sorry for bringing humiliation n embarrassment to this Organization n to dis great city of Cincinnati."
Maualuga continued in another post, "To Bengals nation n my fans, sorry for letting you guys down n for doing wat I did. I hope dat u guys continue to support me n all I do!"
The Bengals first-year linebacker also mentioned how he is going to do everything in his power to gain Bengals fans' trust back.
Maualuga was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly driving under the influence in Covington, Ky. after he crashed into two parked cars and a parking meter.
He will appear in court Feb. 25.
