The Cincinnati Bengals have released one offensive lineman and signed another.
The team announced Tuesday that they terminated the contract of guard Scott Kooistra, releasing him to free agency. Kooistra, a seventh year player, played in two games this season. He has played 82 games, all with the Bengals since he was drafted in the seventh round of the 2003 draft.
The move leaves the Bengals with 52 players on the roster. There are reports that they have signed fullback Fui Vakapuna, who they released before the season.
Cincinnati also signed offensive tackle Gerald Cadogan to the practice squad. Cadogan is a first-year NFL player out of Penn State. He played in one preseason game with the Carolina Panthers and was waved on August 31. He earned first-team All Big Ten honors as a senior.
