Release from the Bengals:
Bengals To Be 'First And Green' Thanks to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources
The Cincinnati Bengals are excited to introduce “Bengals First and Green Powered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.” This partnership will provide tailgating Bengals fans the opportunity to recycle items in all Bengals parking lots for the remainder of the 2008 season. Fans can join the Bengals Green Team by transporting all glass and plastic bottles and aluminum cans to recycling containers located throughout Bengals Lots A,B,C,D,E and 1.
This exciting partnership, beginning with the Bengals’ November 2nd game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, reflects the team’s commitment to the environment in Cincinnati and the State of Ohio. “We are thrilled to partner with the Bengals to allow them to become ‘First and Green’ and salute the team’s commitment to the environment,” stated Derek Anderson from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Chief of the Division of Real Estate and Land Management. “The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Bengals’, Rumpke Recycling, and Hamilton County are setting an example for organizations all over the state to follow and we are excited to watch this partnership grow in the future,” Anderson said.
Recycling containers bearing the “Bengals First and Green” logo will be available for fans’ use on game days. The Bengals and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources encourage all fans to recycle throughout the week and on game days around Paul Brown Stadium.
