Carson Palmer rattled off the names of the Ravens defense so deftly, it was like they were members of his own family, "Lewis, Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Pryce. They have so many good players," said the Bengals quarterback. "It's always challenging, but it's also a big task."
He sees them twice every year on the opposite side of the line. They look back and see him. They're probably tired of seeing him.
Palmer has faced the Ravens ten times. His Bengals have won seven of those games. "We've always had a good game plan, and we match up favorably against them," says Palmer. He also points out that Marvin Lewis used to coordinate the Ravens defense. "Baltimore week is really a big deal," says Palmer.
The two teams played only three weeks ago. The Bengals won 17-14 on October 11 in Baltimore. I wondered to Chad Ocho Cinco if much can change between then and now. "There's not much we we can, not much they can," said the veteran receiver. "We see them so much, it's like being married. You know your wife to a 't'. You know what she's gonna say before she says it. You can finish her sentence."
How the unmarried Ocho Cinco knows that, I have no idea. But I get his point. The Bengals know what the Ravens are about to say. The Ravens know what the Bengals are about to say. We'll see which team can finish the sentence on Sunday.
