(New York, NY) Bishop T.D. Jakes has picked up his writing pen once again with a book that weaves Biblical verses about Mary with the present-day story about a grandmother who has suffered many losses.
"The Memory Quilt: A Christmas Story For Our Times" is Jakes' first holiday-themed novel. The story follows Lela Edwards on her journey as she arrives at a place in life where understanding, patience, and love replace annoyance, bitterness and disappointment.
Jakes has written more than 30 books. He is the pastor of "The Potter's House" a diverse congregation that has more than 30,000 members in Dallas, Texas.
Jakes will be a special guest on 9 News at Noon with Tanya O'Rourke on Wednesday.
