Body Of Maysville Native Identified In Utah

Zach Ruble was a graduate of Mason High School and a freshman at the University of Utah where he was majoring in bioengineering.

A college student who grew up in Maysville has been found dead in Utah.

The Utah medical examiner has identified the body of Zach Ruble, a freshman at the University of Utah.

Police notified Ruble's parents last week that their son’s car was found burning in southern Utah.

The university is working with the police to determine what led to his death.

Ruble graduated from Mason County High School.




The University of Utah has released the following statement:

    April 10, 2009 - The University of Utah was saddened to learn that the body of Zachary Ruble, a President's Club Scholar at the U, was positively identified today by the Utah Medical Examiner. A freshman majoring in bioengineering, Zach lived on campus in University Housing and was a resident of Maysville, Kentucky. University police are continuing to work with the Washington County Sheriff’s office to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident. The entire University extends its deepest condolences to Zach’s family and friends.
