FLORENCE, Ky. -- How long would you wait for a year's worth of free chicken sandwiches?
Matt Newman, of Florence; Stefan Reid, of Union; and Robert Henry, of New Richmond, are among those at the front of the line Wednesday waiting for the grand opening of the new Chick-fil-A in Florence. They were playing cornhole Wednesday morning to pass the time as they waited for the grand opening.
The new restaurant officially opens Thursday at 6 a.m. at
4980 Houston Road. The first 100 customers there Thursday morning will get gift certificates for 52 free meals, one meal for each week of the next year.
The new restaurant will bring 65 jobs to the region. After its grand opening, the Florence Chick-fil-A will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
