CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati City Council invites the Cincinnati Health Department to give out immunizations to the public as well as the council on Wednesday.
Councilmember Laure Quinlivan, head of the Quality of Life Committee, is heading the vaccination to be held at that committee's meeting on Wednesday. Her and her 2 and a half year old son will get the vaccine and invite all who would like the immunization to the third floor at the
Council Chambers between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
"I've been putting this off and now there's really no excuse since the Health Department is coming to City Hall," Quinlivan said. "It's even more important to get my toddler vaccinated, so I encourage other mothers to bring their kids to City Hall Wednesday."
The vaccination is free and no appointments are necessary, but participants are encouraged to fill out the consent form ahead of time and bring it with them. Click

"We've worked hard to immunize over 40,000 residents including school children, expectant mothers and other high risk individuals," Health Commissioner Noble Maseru said. "Now we have enough to offer immunization to everyone. We are thrilled to join with Councilmember Quinlivan to raise H1N1 immunization awareness."
