Covington Police Conducting Major Drug Bust

Covington Police are working to round up dozens of drug suspects in a major bust.

So far, officers have arrested 21 of 54 people they want in connection with drug trafficking.

Covington Police say this is the culmination of a four-month investigation into drug trafficking in the city.

Detectives say of the 54 people wanted, 34 are accused of trafficking cocaine and nine are wanted for trafficking heroin.

The rest are suspects in various other drug crimes, such as trafficking marijuana or pills.

The suspects are being held at the Kenton County detention center.
