Dayton Teacher Goes On Trial

DAYTON, Ky. -- A fired high school teacher will face trial on Tuesday, accused of having sex with a student.

Nicole Howell is charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

She was fired in January from her job teaching English at Dayton High School after the accusations surfaced.

Police said she had sex with a then 16-year-old football player.

She faces up to five years in prison if convicted. Her attorney insists she's innocent.
