Duke Energy has reached a tentative rate hike agreement, but it still needs to be approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO).
The plan is less than Duke Energy wanted.
The settlement also would allow Duke Energy to recover some of the costs of last September's windstorm, but the utility has to file a separate application to get it.
