Clermont County, OH -- Adam and Rachel Bell are temporarily living in a Clermont County hotel room.

That's because their house was destroyed Thanksgiving night.

The couple says they were cooking Thanksgiving dinner while starting a fire in their Wayne Township home.  That's when the family says the chimney went up in flames.

"You could just see it up the chimney.  It was just engulfed.  And then he went outside and the whole side of the house was on fire," Rachel said.

Adam, Rachel and their four children escaped the home without injury.

While they're home is gone, they say this holiday season they're going to be thankful.  Not for things that carry a monetary value but for each other and family.

"Oh man, that's what's got us through.  It really has.  If it wasn't for them, we would still be in circles," Adam said.

While the family was renting their home, they did not have renters insurance.

A fund is set up to help the family at National City Bank in Milford.
