Last Update: 10/23/2009 1:08 am
WEST HARRISON, Ind. -- A five-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by his grandfather’s pickup truck Thursday morning.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office say Thomas Frondorf, 65, did not see his grandson, Will Thomas Frondorf,  riding a bike in front of his Ford F150 pickup when he pulled forward in a barn yard on Mortashed Road in West Harrison.

The impact sent the five-year-old under the front of truck.  He was removed from under the truck by his father who started first aid immediately.

Emergency crews from Brookville were called to the scene. The child was flown to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, but died as a result of his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
