Now that the storm is over and power is gradually being restored, Tri-State homeowners are wondering what to do with all the debris covering their lawns.

Hamilton County Solid Waste Management officials held a briefing Wednesday at the Rumpke yard waste drop-off site on Struble Road to inform residents on how to handle the excess yard waste.

The district is offering a free yard waste recycling program to Hamilton County residents.   The program runs on Saturdays and Sundays through November 30, 2008.

There are three locations to drop off yard waste.

East:

  • Turpin Farm
    3295 Turpin Ln.

    West:

  • Kuliga Park
    6717 Bridgetown Rd.

    North:

  • Rumpke Sanitary Landfill
    Struble Rd. and Colerain Ave.
  • The Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District is reminding residents that only yard waste will be accepted at their free yard waste drop-off sites.

Garbage and food waste should be put out with other waste for regular trash pickup.
