Holiday Help Offered For Families With Mental Illness

Last Update: 12/02/2008 11:02 pm

If someone in your family struggles with mental illness, a local group is offering a special program for you, especially for this time of year.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness(NAMI) Hamilton County presents, "Surviving the Holidays with Your Loved Ones," Monday, December 15, at 7:15 p.m.

NAMI provides a program and support group every month at the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati in the Rookwood Tower, 3805 Edwards Rd.

It is for families and individuals affected by a range of mental illnesses, including depression, OCD, bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder.

Facilitators Al and Mary McGrover will lead an open discussion group on how to survive the holidays, especially when someone in your family has a mental illness.
