The signs are up in Devou Park for the 18th Annual Holiday Toy Train at Behringer-Crawford Museum.
Their permanent Faragher Model train display is decorated for the season, but that's not all. Upstairs, there is over 250 feet of track with Lionel and Plasticville trains to see.
They're fun to watch, but here at the museum in Devou Park you don't just watch the trains, you interact with them.
There are over 25 red buttons that you can push the make the engines steam, blow their whistles and you can turn the lights and music on in the display. There's even a Santa that flies all at the touch of your hand.
Kids will enjoy seeing Thomas the Train and if you look close there's even the Grinch waiting to be found. There is really quite a bit to see from the animals in the forest to the town with carnivals and ice skaters.
It's colorful and bright and just the perfect height for little eyes trying to see all of the miniature holiday decorations and trains.
The Holiday Toy Trains exhibit will be on display through January 17 at the Behringer-Crawford Museum in Devou Park. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $4 for kids 3 to 17. Under 3 is Free.
The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. During the weekdays, one grandchild is admitted free with each paying grandparent.
On Sunday, December 20, the museum will celebrate Dickens "A Christmas Carol" from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required and you can call (859) 491-4003 for more information and pricing.
