Hootie Drummer Marries Guitarist's Ex

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Maybe it's good that Hootie and the Blowfish are on hiatus, because imagine what the next band meeting is going to be like.  Drummer Jim "Soni" Sonefeld has married the ex-wife of guitarist Mark Bryan.

A band spokeswoman confirms to The State newspaper of Columbia, South Carolina, that Sonefeld married Laura Bryan in a private ceremony Dec. 6.
She refused to give any details.

Sonefeld has two children from a previous marriage, and the former Mr. and Mrs. Bryan have three. Hootie and the Blowfish are scheduled to play shows in March and April to support their charities.
