CINCINNATI -- Hundreds arrived early Friday night to witness "Light Up the Square" downtown.
Mayor Mallory and Tri-State native actor Josh Hutcherson had the honor of flipping the switch for the annual lighting
The gorgeous tree is decorated with 20,000 lights and a five-foot tall red star.
Cynthia Taylor was there to witness it, along with friends and family.
Taylor took a break from the hustle and bustle of door-busting, bargain-hunting on Black Friday to bring her granddaughter downtown on Fountain Square Friday night for the annual lighting of the holiday tree.
"Actually it started last night – was out until five this morning. And we decided to come down and see the tree,” said Taylor.
Her and hundreds of others.
"It's a lot of people. It's a lot of people down here. And actually it's hard to get around, but it's still fun!,” Taylor said.
