It's been one week since the NAACP Convention, and now there's news of another major organization coming to the Tri-State.

LULAC, which stands for the League of United Latin American Citizens announced that it will hold it's 2011 convention in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati, Orlando and Dallas were contending for the conference.

The 115,000 member organization focuses on education, civil rights and employment for Hispanics in the United States.

"In 2011, we'll be bringing in about 115,000 LULAC members and friends, delegates, corporate partners and others to participate in this convention. And it's really the largest of the National Hispanic Conventions that take place in this country," Executive Director of LULAC Brent Wilkes said.

Meanwhile, city officials are preparing for the National Baptist Convention in September.

The event is expected to bring 30,000 people to the Duke Energy Center.
