The Madisonville Braves youth baseball team and other local elementary students will now get to play on a brand new baseball field, thanks to Wal-Mart.
Just hours after the newest super-store in Fairfax opened, a dedication ceremony took place for the field at Anderson Place in Madisonville.
In 2009, Wal-Mart donated $20,000 to support the Reds Community Fund. Some of that money was earmarked for the renovation.
The dedication happened inside John P. Parker Elementary School.
Reds COO Phil Castenllini, Reds mascot Gapper, Wal-Mart regional executives and local students were in attendance.
