GREENDALE, Ind. -- A multi-car, multi-injury accident closed down US 50 Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened on the 800 block of US 50 just east of I-275 just before 12 p.m.
Four vehicles were involved in the accident with multiple persons being treated for injuries.
A man with head injuries was taken by medical helicopter to University Hospital. The man was unconscious when he was taken and officials say he had been ejected from his vehicle.
One woman was trapped inside her vehicle for a short amount of time and once freed was taken by ground to the hospital.
Seven people were involved in total in the accident and everyone else was treated and released at the scene.
