MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- A man is dead after he was hit by a car in Middletown on Monday.
Police say 54-year-old Charles Kurtz was hit as he crossed Roosevelt Boulevard near Jackson Lane shortly after 6 p.m.
Kurtz was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton where he later died.
Investigators say he was only a quarter mile from his home when he was hit.
The driver stopped after the accident and no charges have been filed.
