COVINGTON, Ky. -- An apartment fire left one man almost trapped Friday morning.
The fire started around 11:30 p.m. on East 16th Street Thursday night and raged well into Friday morning.
Fire crews say the extensive damage to the apartment complex was the least of their worries when they first arrived on the scene late Thursday night.
Crews were given reports that a man was trapped in the building, but he was eventually able to escape on his own through the flames.
Three of the four units in the building were occupied and they all suffered damage.
Fire crews say the fire started in the back of the building, but no cause has been determined.
No injuries were reported.
