WARSAW, Ky. – Repairs began on a damaged gate at the Markland dam on the Ohio River Tuesday.
The gate broke last month as a vessel was traveling through a 1,200 foot chamber.
Crews emptied the chamber Tuesday and plan to lift the gate early next week.
Repairs are on-going until then.
Officials plan to have the work completed by April.
