MASON, Ohio -- Mason city council has delayed a decision on a proposed admissions tax at Kings Island and other tourist attractions in Warren County.
The proposal calls for a 3 percent tax on admissions and a 5 percent parking tax for Kings Island and the Beach Waterpark.
Supporters say the tax is needed for road improvements in the area.
A Kings Island spokesperson says about 200 residents opposed to the tax came to the meeting Monday night.
City council members say they need more information on the issue and put off discussion on it until February 8.
