The man who just went eight-for-eight in gold medals for swimming at the Summer Games in Beijing says he's willing to race Chad Johnson in the pool.

On ESPN's "Pardon The Interruption" on Wednesday, August 13, Johnson went on a rant about Michael Phelps, stating that "the problem with Michael Phelps is there's no competition where he is." Johnson then said he can swim faster than Phelps and wants to race him.

On Monday, Phelps talked to ESPN's Jeremy Schaap and told him that he accepts the challenge.

Chad Johnson told ESPN last week that he knew several people in Liberty City, Miami who could beat Phelps in a race. He said if Phelps went there, he would find people that could beat him in the inner city, people who could not make it to Beijing to compete.

Johnson also stated that he was three-time champ at Charles Hadly school, an elementary school in Miami.
