Middies and Redskins Pull Playoff Upsets

Middletown's Caleb Watkins ran 80 yards for a touchcown early in the first quarter and the Middies upset Moeller 45-10 in the first round of the Ohio Division I playoffs.

Anderson's Tommy Chapman kicked a 43 yard field with two minutes left to give the Redskins a 24-21 victory over Lakota West.

Luke Massa threw three touchdown passes in St Xavier's 37-12 victory over Centerville.

Mark Miller threw three touchdown passes and Ben Coffaro caught two of them in Elder's 35-14 win over Huber Heights Wayne.

In Division IV, Clinton-Massie drubbed Waynesville 43-0, Kenton eliminated Germantown Valley View 46-21 and Carlisle rallied to beat North College Hill 21-13.

In Division VI, Lockland fell to Fort Loramie 14-0

Kentucky football featured one afternoon playoff game.  Brayden Erpenbeck rushed for 105 yards and threw for 166 more as Covington Catholic beat Woodford County 48-27
