ADAMS CO., Ohio -- Three vehicles and a semi were involved in a crash in Adams County Friday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on State Route 41 near Freeland Hollow Road in West Union around 4 p.m.
Investigators say the truck driver, Gary Weaver, hit a car then crossed the center line, hitting another vehicle head-on.
Both people in that car, Victoria and Robert Bowens are recovering from serious injuries at University Hospital.
Two others also got hurt.
Officials say 100 gallons of fuel spilled out of the semi onto the roadway.
Two Air Care medical helicopters were called to the scene. One person was transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
Neighbors say people drive far too fast in the area.
"People go way too fast around these bends,” said Wendy Bellar, of West Union. “I live on the bend down the road and they go too fast, especially the trucks."
The highway patrol is still investigating and expects to file charges.
