All in an effort to go green, the Cincinnati Park Board is starting a new initiative to solve urban wood waste.
They have teamed up with Cincinnati Public Schools and the Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District to create the Ash Tree Recycling project.
So far, the wood has already been turned into more than 3,000 board-feet.
Officials expect to process about 20,000 board-feet to be used in the schools.
