There’s more information on plans for a new nuclear power plant in southern Ohio.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer says three companies, including Duke Energy, expect to announce plans this Thursday to build the plant in Piketon, which is in Scioto County.
Duke Energy, a Maryland energy company and a French firm would build at the site of the former uranium enrichment plant in Piketon.
The Plain Dealer says the plant would take 10 years to build and employ about 4,000 construction workers.
Piketon is located near State Routes 32 and US 23, about 90 miles east of Cincinnati.
