COVINGTON, Ky. -- The former St. Elizabeth North Hospital is marking a new beginning by opening a new nursing home this week.
The Garrard Convalescent Home opened in the former hospital building on East 20th Street.
For now, it is using the fourth floor of the building, but the nursing home's owner says he hopes to expand services by the spring and he'll present a new plan for the building to city commissioners by next year.
St. Elizabeth's new hospital is located off the 12th Street exit of I-75/71.
