Nightclub Cancels Hip Hop Night After Shooting

Last Update: 7/27/2009 10:49 pm
There’s new details on a deadly shooting outside a nightclub early Monday morning.

The owners of Annie's nightclub in the East End say they are canceling hip hop night on Sunday nights because of this latest shooting.

Someone shot Daunte Philips and Marcus Mitchell to death at Annie's nightclub on Kellogg Avenue.

Off-duty Cincinnati police officers working security at the club went to check out gun shots and found both victims in the parking lot.

Close to 1,000 people were at the club for last night’s hip-hop night.

"It's the element of people who come down here on hip-night on Sunday,” said owner Peter Gorgeton. “So, we're going to do away with it."

Investigators are looking for a maroon Chevy Tahoe that left the parking lot shortly after the shootings.
