There's now an entire encyclopedia devoted to the Northern Kentucky area.
Nick Clooney served as master of ceremonies for the official launch of the encyclopedia at the library on the Northern Kentucky University campus in Highland Heights.
Hundreds of benefactors and volunteers have worked for six years to make this project a reality.
The encyclopedia highlights the key people, places and events of the area.
"I think Northern Kentucky has a rich and diverse history,” said Brad Sayles. “I think it's shown in the number of entries, there's over 2,000 entries just in this 11 county area, documenting the history. I think it's something that it's important to document and to hold and to keep."
Two NKU professors edited the encyclopedia.
Many of the contributers signed copies for customers Friday night.
