Cincinnati Reds legendary player and broadcaster Joe Nuxhall is once again a finalist for the Ford C. Frick Award.
The 10 finalists were announced Monday by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
The award is presented annually for excellence in baseball broadcasting.
Nuxhall, also known as the "Ol Left-hander", is joined by Billy Berroa, Skip Caray, Tom Cheek, Jacques Doucet, Lanny Frattare, Graham McNamee, Jon Miller, Herb Score and Dave Van Horne.
Three of the finalists, Cheek, Doucet and Nuxhall were chosen by fans during an online balloting throughout December.
The winner of the award will be announced Feb. 1 and then honored during a special ceremony July 23-26 at the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend in Cooperstown, N.Y.
A 20 member committee composed of 15 living Frick Award recipients and five broadcast historians and columnists will choose the final winner.
Last year's recipient was Tony Kubek.
Nuxhall passed away in 2007 at the age of 79. He was the youngest player in Major League history, making his debut in 1944 at the age of 15.
Nuxhall retired from the Reds in 1967 and began his second career of broadcasting games that would last until his official retirement in 2004.
