A Bethel, Ohio man is dead and two family members are injured after a single car crash in Brown County early Monday morning.
According to police, an SUV driven by 49-year-old Alfred Bruce II went out of control and ran off the road in the
12770 block of State Route 774 in Pike Township around 3:20 a.m. The car then reportedly came back onto the road and flipped onto its top.
Bruce was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Beverly Bruce, was in the rear seat at the time. She was taken to Brown County Hospital with minor injuries.
Bruce's son-in-law, Brian Sipes, was riding in the front seat and also received minor injuries. He was taken to Clermont Hospital for treatment.
According to statements taken at the scene, police say the family was on their way home from North Carolina and were less than one mile from home with the crash occurred.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
