The Kentucky State Patrol is investigating after Pendleton County Commonwealth's Attorney Doug Wright was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday night.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 27, just north of KY 177 in Butler.
According to investigators, a southbound truck driven by Daniel Gabbard crossed into the northbound lane of U.S. 27 and struck Wright's car.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Gabbard was taken to University Hospital. His condition has not been released.
