Police in Colerain Township are searching for a suspect after an armed bank robbery Saturday morning.
The male suspect approached an employee in the parking lot of the Cheviot Saving Bank on Harrison Avenue just after 9:15 a.m. Investigators say the man showed a silver hand gun to the employee who was working on an ATM machine, and ordered her into the bank.
The suspect then went to the counter in the bank and demanded cash from another employee, police say. He fled the scene on foot after receiving cash.
A Hamilton County K9 unit tracked the suspect, but it was terminated after the track reached a nearby parking lot.
Police describe the suspect as
- African American male
- 20 - 25 years old
- 5,8'' tall
- 180-200 pounds
The suspect was last seen wearing blue jean with a design on the rear of the pant legs, a white and multi-colored zip-up jacket, a black do-rag and a blue bandana covering his face.
