A Jackson, Kentucky man is facing a criminal charge for allegedly trying to meet a teenage girl for sex.
Authorities arrested John Edward Smith, 44, on Friday.
Investigators say Smith traveled to Winchester, Kentucky to meet what he thought was a 13-year-old.
Smith was charged with unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities.
He is currently behind bars at the Clark County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
