NEW RICHMOND, Ohio -- Police have made an arrest in a Christmas Eve burglary case.
Jacob Perkins is accused of stealing wrapped presents from under a family's Christmas tree.
The burglary happened on Rachel Drive.
Perkins allegedly told officers he gave the stolen gifts to children in his family.
During a search of Perkins' home, he allegedly asked officers to take the children to a neighbor's house so they would not have to see their gifts being taken away.
The suspect had been out on probation for aggravated burglary already.
Perkins is currently at the Clermont County jail.
