NEW YORK (AP) -- Since Regis Philbin is having hip-replacement surgery Tuesday, you know his appearances on the syndicated version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" this week were taped ahead of time.
Philbin is sitting in for regular host Meredith Vieira. This is the first time Philbin has been a guest host on the weekday version of "Millionaire."
He's bringing the executive producer of "Live with Regis and Kelly" along with him. Michael Gelman is serving as the expert if a player chooses the "Ask The Expert" lifeline. He says he's strong in history, pop culture, science, geography and food. But he says he's weak in literature and sports.
