COVINGTON, Ky. -- A visit to the bus stop lands a robbery suspect behind bars after the victim recognizes him and calls police.
Covington police arrested Brandon Blizarrd of Newport after a foot chase that began on Friday at the Tank Bus Stop on Madison Avenue.
Blizarrd is also being held at the Kenton County Jail for a Newport robbery that took place in January.
A female shopper reported being robbed while outside The Prince Carryout at 7th and Saratoga streets.
After finishing her shopping, the victim was going east when the suspect approached her from behind at Roberts Street.
"He told me give me all your stuff and I won't slice your throat open and then I didn't know but I spun around and when I saw his face I knew it was for real," said the victim who asked not to be identified.
On Friday, the victim spotted the suspect while waiting at the bus stop.
Blizarrd also has warrants out of Florida and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
