Self-Defense Class Prepares Kids For The Unexpected

A Tri-State couple known nationwide for self-defense training are teaching local kids to be prepared for the unexpected. 

Debbie and Mike Gardner are former Cincinnati Police officers and authors of the book, "Raising Kids Who Can Protect Themselves." 

The Gardner's travel the nation teaching people self-defense, and they are holding a class here in the Tri-State Monday night.

It's at Mother of Mercy High School in Westwood. The class is open to kids 12 and older and their parents.

The goal of the workshop is to give kids the courage and confidence to survive dangerous situations.

Monday's class is from 7-9 p.m.  It costs $5 and registration starts at 6:30 p.m.
