Last Update: 10/21/2009 8:01 am
A man who was allegedly badly beaten by his neighbor is clinging to life this morning, according to police.

It's a story you saw first on 9News.

Sharonville Police say 44-year-old Daryl Adkins picked up a steel pole during a fight with his neighbor Monday night then struck him in the head several times, including when the victim was already down on the ground.

Adkins was arrested Monday night outside his home on Lebanon Road on a felonious assault charge.

His neighbor, Dallas Bowman, was significantly injured during the attack, according to police.  As of Wednesday morning, his condition is being called "critical" by Sharonville Police.

Police say both men had been drinking and so far, a motive for the attack is not yet known.

A judge set Adkins' bond at $10,000 on Tuesday.
